The Palm Reader Who Changed Everything | The Quiet Hearth Journal

I sat down with a bucket load of scepticism. This was something very foreign to me and quite frankly I thought was a load of old rubbish, but I would give it a go and try to keep an open mind.
She pulled on some latex gloves and said “Don’t tell me anything. I don’t need to know anything. I want you to be sure I am not fishing for answers. So please listen and tell me nothing.” Wow! I thought, that’s a good start.
She took my hand and started reading. ”Oh you have lovely hands. Very elegant fingers.” Then she started. What I wasn’t expecting was to feel at ease. When you have a stranger handling your hands it feels strangely personal and quite relaxing. “You’ve moved around a lot” she said “Thirteen times I am seeing here.” She was right, I have moved around a lot. She went on to describe other countries I have lived in. Recounted things that had happened in my life, like she’d been there. She moved through past, present and then into the future. Nothing was described at surface level, the reading was doing a deep dive. Then she stopped. She paused looking very intensely at my hand and went quiet. Both of us were staring at my had. She had been quite chatty to this point so I felt something had changed. She looked at me and said. “I have only ever seen this once or twice before in all my years of reading. This is very rare and not something I say likely”. I was captivated. What had she seen everything, else had been so accurate. “You have the gift. It’s right here in your hand. You have the gift. Do you know that?” Part of me still wanted to question it, yet another part recognised something I had felt for years. She went on “You should be here, this is for you if you chose to develop it and use it.” Given what had happened at the fraudsters reading only a short while before where I heard my deceased cousins voice by the side of me, I was now in no doubt. Everything that has happened to me , all the odd things that have happened through my life, that I have dismissed. An out of body experience, things I know without knowing how I know them…I just do. Images that are given to me that mean absolutely nothing to me but everything to someone else. That’s something else I have learned recently. I am not supposed to understand what’s given to me I am only supposed to pass the message along.
Honestly, I didn’t want the reading to end, it had been a deeply profound and enlightening experience. I learned something about myself that day. To never doubt myself, trust in my instincts and follow where it leads. The Quiet Hearth is part of that path. I don’t know why I know or how I know. The Quiet Hearth is my path, the reason may not be clear for me yet, but it’s not for me to question, I am being pushed to make it happen, and I have learnt when I feel this strongly, I should make it happen.
Have you ever experienced something you couldn't explain?
I'd love to hear your story in the comments below. Sometimes the most powerful thing is simply discovering that other people have experienced similar things too.
